Welcome back to planDisney, Emily!
As a Central Florida local who only stays on property every now and then, I totally understand where you’re coming from when asking this question. I hear nothing but amazing things about
Trattoria al Forno at Disney’s BoardWalk. By choosing to eat there, your plan is already off to a good start.
Self-parking at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel is limited when you are visiting. Although it is more than possible to do so with a dining reservation, you’re usually given a time restriction. So, asking your father-in-law to drop you off is practically perfect. After your breakfast, and once it’s closer to official
EPCOT operating hours, simply walk over to the International Gateway to enter the theme park. You will go through theme park security and tap into the magic at this not-so-secret-anymore back entrance.
What’s cool about the Disney’s BoardWalk area is that you can also take a short walk to
Disney’s Hollywood Studios as well. You also are near one of the Disney Skyliner stations (near EPCOT’s International Gateway) and can take a ride on one of the Friendship Boats across Crescent Lake. The options are endless.
Emily, I just know that you’re going to have the best day ever! Please
give us a holler here at planDisney if you have any other Disney vacation planning questions. Any one of us would love to share our tips and tricks with you.
Magic always,
LeAndra
