Mine is a military family, and we have lots of experience using the very generous military discounts offered to us. I'm happy to assist you with your question so you can get to planning.
The military-discounted Magic Your Way tickets are sold pre-activated, so the military member does not need to be present when using the tickets. To be very clear, that is not true for the
Military Promotional Theme Park Tickets, which are a different type of military ticket sold on base. To use those deeply-discounted tickets, a member of your party must show their military ID to activate the tickets upon arrival at the Walt Disney World Resort, and they must be visiting with you.
If you have the Magic Your Way tickets, you won't need to worry about showing a military ID. Please check the expiration date on your tickets to ensure they don't expire at the end of 2021; otherwise, you will be good to go.
In case you want to compare your tickets with the Military Promotional Theme Park Tickets, I have two important points to clarify. Most importantly, be sure to read the
Offer Details for eligibility information. To use this offer, a valid and active military ID is required; DOD Contractor or other civilian ID will not be accepted. Also, we have not yet heard an announcement about 2022 military discounts; those are usually announced in late summer or early fall and will appear on the
Special Offers webpage.
