Ahoy, John!
Welcome aboard planDisney! With embarkation day just around the corner, it sounds like you are in full packing mode for your
sailing on the Magic. The countdown is real, and now it is all about making sure everything in that suitcase is cruise ready.
I love that you are double checking the “what not to pack” list. That is always a smart move. The good news is that standard shaving razors are absolutely allowed onboard. You can also bring an electric razor if that is more your style. The type you will
want to leave at home is a straight blade razor, like the kind you might see at a traditional barbershop.
So no need to channel your inner Beast and grow it out for the week unless that is part of your vacation vibe. You will have perfectly normal shaving options available to you while onboard.
If you happen to forget something, there are usually basic toiletry items
available for purchase onboard, though selection can be limited and prices may be a bit higher than what you would find at home. I always recommend packing what you know works for you so there are no surprises once you set sail.
Since you are heading out on the Magic, I will share one packing tip we have learned over time. Magnetic hooks have become a staple in our suitcase. The
stateroom doors are magnetic, and they are perfect for hanging hats, lanyards, lightweight bags, or even damp swimsuits. The walls on the Magic are not magnetic like some of the newer ships, but the door space alone can really help keep things organized. Anything that keeps the stateroom from feeling like a scene from Toy Story after Andy dumps out the toy chest is a win in my book.
I hope this helps as you finish up that packing list and
get ready to sail. You are almost there, and smooth seas are ahead!
Sea ya real soon with a little extra warmth, wonder, and Disney magic,
Dustin
