Is there no World of Color show during October 20-25, 2025? I can't make reservations for any of the dining packages or dessert party.

Hello, Lauren, and welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you’re thinking about the World of Color Dessert Party. There's nothing more indulgent than enjoying a box of tasty treats and savory bites while comfortably seated with a spectacular view of the show.

World of Color Happiness! (and the related dessert party) are limited in September and October because the park closes early on select nights for the Oogie Boogie Bash. The dessert party isn’t offered on those dates, as indicated by a slash on the dining availability calendar. Since there aren't as many opportunities available, reservations for the other nights tend to fill quickly, which explains the circle with a slash you may also see on the calendar. However, I just took a peek at the reservations, and, at the time of writing this, I noticed availability for October 20, 24, and 25, 2025. The availability may change by the time you check again, but I'd encourage you to continue checking, as reservations may be released up until the day before.

If you don’t end up booking a reservation for the dessert party, you’ll still have a great option to view the show through the World of Color virtual queue. You'll be able to join the virtual queue from the Disneyland mobile app at noon on days when a performance is scheduled (as long as you've entered California Adventure by the time the queue opens). If you are successful, you'll be able to watch from a preferred viewing area. Before the show, you can have a dessert party of your own by trying some of the different Halloween-themed treats around the Resort. I've heard great things about the Peanut Butter-Marshmallow Churro near the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.

Don't forget that you have plenty of other choices for making your visit extra special. Disney’s Happiest Haunts: The Villains' Trail Guided Tour is a two-hour experience that includes storytelling, fun facts, and reserved viewing for the Halloween Screams show. Just keep in mind you'll need to have a park reservation for Disneyland to join the guided tour, or a Park Hopper ticket and a tour time after 11 a.m. There are also seasonal Character dining opportunities that you may be interested in.

Lauren, I'm sprinkling some pixie dust (and pumpkin spice) in hopes that you have a frightfully fun visit next month! If you think of any other questions before then, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!

    See ya real soon,
