    No time to spare on MK and Epcot touring days. Thinking of doing monorail for fun after AK closes. Do we need to enter MK or Epcot to ride the rails or are the entry areas outside the actual parks? Not interested in park hopper. Thanks!

    I understand needing to plan an efficient touring strategy. Vacation time is precious!

    You do not enter the turnstiles at the Magic Kingdom nor Epcot in order to enjoy the monorail. After the Animal Kingdom, take a bus to the Magic Kingdom. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the monorail station. Take a ride to the Transportation and Ticket Center, where you'll transfer to the Epcot monorail (if desired). Or continue on to the Polynesian, Grand Floridian and then back to the Magic Kingdom. If time permits, I recommend stopping in at any of the monorail resorts for shopping and/or a meal.

    Park hoppers are not necessary as access to the monorail lines are outside the parks. Enjoy!
