Hello! There are no reservations available at Storyteller's Cafe starting on March 3, 2025 and every day after. There are plenty of reservations available for dates prior to that. Is the restaurant closing for refurbishment in March?

Hello, Carriann, and welcome to planDisney. There will be so much to see and do during your upcoming visit. Delicious meals are just the thing to power you up for all the fun! As Chef Remy said, "If you are what you eat, then I only want to eat the good stuff." Luckily, there’s no shortage of amazing dining options at the Disneyland Resort!

About the popular buffet option at the Grand Californian Hotel: You are exactly right, Carriann. Storytellers Cafe will be temporarily closed for a few weeks in March due to a refurbishment. But Hakuna Matata – there are still plenty of other fantastic dining options for you to enjoy during your stay! Let's get into a few options.

At the Grand Californian Hotel: While Storytellers Cafe is closed, the Hearthstone Lounge will expand lunch service with a limited menu. The pizza here is delicious – I had a modified version of the plant-based sausage pizza a while back and plan to go again soon just for that. During the refurbishment, Guests staying at the hotel also have the option of dining at the Hearthstone Lounge for breakfast. There will be a buffet loaded with pastries, eggs, bacon, potatoes, and other tasty choices.

Character Dining: Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel is just a hop, skip, and jump away. It's a great option if you want to be visited by Disney friends while you enjoy your meal. My kids especially liked swinging their napkins with the other Guests as Minnie Mouse, Pluto, and others paraded through the restaurant. If your plans include a morning at Disneyland Park, you can also consider breakfast at Plaza Inn with Minnie and Friends!

Speaking of food, it's time for the Hot Dog Dance, Carriann! Your trip will overlap with the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. This is one of my favorite annual events, not only for the food and drinks, but also for the entertainment and encounters with Chef Goofy. You'll also be able to experience the classic Soarin' Over California attraction

You are getting closer to making lifelong memories at the Happiest Place on Earth. If you have any other questions, please let us know. We're happy to help.

Carriann, I hope your trip is filled with lots of magical moments and tasty eats!
