Hi there, Yolanda!
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for coming to us with your question. I imagine your daughter must be so excited for her trip to the Disneyland Resort! Last year, I helped chaperone my daughter's high school trip and it was so great to see the kids having such a blast!
Does your daughter have her own phone and, if so, has she already downloaded the
Disneyland Mobile App? As you've already discovered, credit cards may not be stored on a
Disneyland account if the user is 17 or under. You could just give her spending cash for her trip. However, it will be way more convenient for her if she is able to make mobile purchases and food orders.
My suggestion would be to purchase a Disney Gift Card for her. You can purchase a physical card or go to
shopdisney.com to purchase a virtual card for immediate delivery via email. If she is using the Mobile App, make sure to have the gift card number saved in a separate Notes file on her phone. This way, she can easily copy and paste it when she needs to pay for something within the App as it does not store Gift Cards. She can even purchase
Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes this way!
Will your daughter be performing at the Happiest Place on Earth? I see lots of high school groups performing and I love seeing the look of happiness on the kids' faces! And they get to enjoy a day going on thrilling attractions like the
Indiana Jones Adventure or
Radiator Springs Racers!
I hope that was helpful for you, Yolanda. Your daughter is going to have so much fun with her high school friends at the Disneyland Resort and I'm sure this trip will be a core memory for her! If there is anything else we can do for you, please reach out to us again anytime!
Have a Magical Day!
