Hi Beth! Thank you for visiting planDisney and helping your cousin find the information they need.
The
staterooms in the Disney fleet are truly one of a kind! Most of them feature split bathrooms, making it much easier to get ready. When I first started sailing with my family, we always chose a Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom. Some of the portholes are so large that they even have seats!
You are correct, Beth; there currently isn’t a waitlist for Verandah staterooms unless your cousin wants to splurge on a Concierge cabin. If they do, they can be placed on a waitlist if one isn’t available. I recommend that your cousin keep checking the website regularly. Depending on how far away the cruise is, people often change their plans, and more stateroom categories might become available. I’m sending virtual pixie dust your way that the perfect stateroom opens up soon!
To
modify a stateroom on the Disney Cruise Line website, your cousin will need to sign in, locate their reservation, and find the box with their stateroom number. From there, click on “Modify Reservation;” they can change the sail date, edit their travel party, modify their stateroom, or cancel their reservation. However, please note that some modifications may be limited depending on the current stateroom category or if your cousin booked a cabin with restrictions.
I hope this information helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. We love sharing our experiences and helping fellow Disney fans fall in love with Disney Cruise Line.
SEAS the adventure!
