You no longer have a bus from John Wayne airport to your hotel and back? You also stopped the meal plan?

    Welcome to planDisney, Calene!

Thanks so much for choosing to be our Guest.

When I traveled to The Happiest Place on Earth last summer, I had to decide how to get from the airport to the Disneyland Resort. Unfortunately, Disney does not provide transportation to and from the airport. However, you have a few different options. Here are my top three:

    1. If you're looking for a shuttle service, Disney recommends Karmel Shuttle. I tried to book through them, however, I waited until too late in the game and they didn't have availability for the time and day I wanted. However, if you're inquiring well in advance then you should be ok. My inlaws had a great experience with Karmel Shuttle. Just call them over the phone and you'll be able to make a booking. They have different-sized vehicles and can even accommodate kids too.

    2. Alternatively, you can book a rideshare service, such as Lyft or Uber. My family did this at the end of our vacation and it worked out well.

    3. Finally, you can rent a car from the sport and drop it off in Anaheim. On the day you check out, you can then rent a car in Anaheim and drop it off at the airport. I've done this before and it worked out well.

Regarding your question about Disney Dining Plans, unfortunately, those plans were discontinued some time back. Sadly, we haven't been told if or when those plans will return. They recently returned to Walt Disney World Resort (yay!), however, we're yet to hear of them returning to Disneyland Resort.

Instead of waiting for the Disney Dining Plan to become available, why don't you purchase a bunch of Disney Gift Cards? You can then bring these with you in order to pay for your meals. This method isn't really that different from the Disney Dining Plan. You're still basically paying for your meals ahead of time. In fact, in many ways, it's better than the Disney Dining Plan because if you have money left over it won't go to waste. You can use it to buy some extra souvenirs! You can purchase Disney Gift Cards from many major retail locations. Sometimes, I've noticed certain stores even offering deals on them (e.g. $45 for a $50 Disney Gift Card). I did this for my last Disney trip and it worked out great!

I hope that's helpful, Calene. Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney.
