Welcome to planDisney, Olivia! Thanks for bringing us your question. I'm sorry to hear that you might not be able to make your originally planned trip, and I'm here to help.
Although your visit might not be as soon as you would like for it to be, the great news is you have some flexibility. You can certainly reschedule your visit for a new date that works for you. Before you cancel your existing reservation, I strongly recommend checking the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar. Once you've confirmed your new date(s) are available, you can cancel and
rebook your reservation. If you're using a 1-day theme park ticket, make sure to pay close attention to the
blockout dates for your appropriate tier. If you'd like to use your 1-day ticket for a date that is blocked out, you can upgrade your ticket (unless otherwise stated in the terms of the ticket). To make the upgrade, you can
call a Cast Member for assistance. Keep in mind that you can only apply the value of your original ticket towards the purchase of a new ticket if the purchase price of the new ticket is equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original ticket.
Olivia, I hope this has been helpful and I hope you are able to reschedule your visit soon! It's going to be an especially magical year at the Disneyland Resort. The
Disney100 Celebration kicks off this week on January 27, along with the opening of the new attraction,
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. Check out this
guide to the celebration from
Disney Parks Blog for some experiences not to miss and some must-try eats. If you have any other questions, please come back to ask us. We love to help!
Until then, have a magical day!
Michelle
