    Is there no dinning plans?

Hiya, Chris! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

As of right now, the Disney Dining Plan has not returned to us since the shutdown two years ago. A few months back, the Disney Parks Blog did share with us that they've heard the outcry of love and support for the Disney Dining Plan and they let us know that they do plan on bringing it back. At that time, they just weren't sure of an updated timeframe. The good news is that we are returning to a world of magic more and more every day. We are seeing several Walt Disney World restaurants open back up which can only mean good things for the Disney Dining Plan. I have my fingers crossed that we will see it back sometime this year. If the Disney Dining Plan does resume before your Walt Disney World vacation, you will certainly be able to add it on to your existing vacation package. Previously, Guests had until 48 hours prior to their check-in date to add it on and I think it will be similar to this again.

Until then, Chris, I recommend stocking up on Disney Gift Cards to use for dining while you are there. This is similar to the Disney Dining Plan because it is paid for ahead of time and has to be used for something at Walt Disney World. You can pick up Disney Gift Cards at most major retail locations. I like to add one to my cart when I grocery shop. It doesn't add a lot to my bill but I am always amazed at how quickly they can add up.

Chris, I am hoping that we see a return of the Disney Dining Plan soon. Be sure to keep an eye out over on the Disney Parks Blog for more information when it is released. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Have a great week!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
