Hiya, Cynthia!
Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! Cynthia, one of the things our family loves so much about Disney Vacation Club Membership is the flexibility. It not only offers us affordable family vacations year after year, but we have the opportunity to vacation how we want and where we want thanks to the flexibility of our Membership.
Cynthia, you certainly can use your Disney Vacation Club Vacation Points to stay at another Disney Resorts Collection Hotel. If it is NOT a Disney Vacation Club Resort, you will need a bit of Fairy Godmother help from
Member Services as they will need to convert your Vacation Points into
Reservation Points to make that magic happen for you. But it's as simple as saying "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!"
First, I would recommend going to the
Disney Vacation Club website and clicking on "Destinations" and then
"Disney Resort Hotels Near & Far." Then, select "View All Resorts." Here you will be able to see Reservation Point starting points for all of the Disney Resort Hotels, but to dig a little deeper, select
"View All Points Charts for Resorts." This will give you the best view of Reservation Points costs for your dates and room categories. You do need to click on the location first and then you will see all of the information you need.
Once you decide where you would like to stay, give Member Services a call who can check availability and make the booking for you. They will also confirm any rules and regulations around these Reservation Points should you need to cancel for any reason.
I hope this helps you, Cynthia! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, stop back and see me here. I'll be so happy to help you!
See ya real soon,
Keri
