Nine of us, including a three year old are travelling to WDW. Do we have to purchase a meal for the little one at any character dining? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Melissa,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are delighted that you brought this question to us! The Character Meals are so much fun. We all love them!

The policy is that we pay for children 3-years old and over. The price represents the total experience, characters included, not just the food. We have always adored our character meals and consider the price well worth it to interact personally with our favorite characters!

Some of our favorite character meals are Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, Hollywood & Vine, 1900 Park Fare and Cinderella's Royal Table. The Mickey Waffles are just superb and the Wicked Step-Mother at Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare gave our girls an infamous stare down once when we were there. It was priceless!

I do hope you have made Dining Reservations! Restaurants fill quickly, especially for character meals. Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance.

Have a magical time! Be sure to jump in the party line at the Crystal Palace if you dine there.

    Happy Planning!
