    Hello Nimmy. I will be heading to Walt Disney World next month (February 2024) . I have a question about mobile ordering. Do I need a dining plan to mobile order food? Also can I just pay for mobile ordering with my regular smegular debit/credit card?

    Welcome to planDisney and thanks for sending me a question! I'm very excited about your upcoming trip as the first two months of the year are some of my favorite times to visit Walt Disney World Resort! I love the weather, the festivals, and the lower crowds. 

    I also love using Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering! Keanya, you do not need a dining plan to use Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering; yes, you can use a "regular shmegular" debit or credit card to pay for it! You can also use a Disney Gift Card that you may have received from Santa recently.  I like to save a credit card to my account so that when I check out it's seamless and quick. You can add up to 6 credit cards to your Disney account. Just open up your My Disney Experience Mobile App and click  ≡ on the bottom right corner. Scroll down till you see "My Profile" and click on it. Then look for "Payment Method" which is where you can put in your payment options. I like to start making my mobile ordering decisions early in the day to ensure I get the time slot I want. Sometimes, it's a great activity to pass the time while waiting in line. My favorite food to mobile order is the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich at Sleepy Hollow. It's only available for breakfast so don't delay in ordering it! Don't stand in the regular line to pick up your order but keep walking around till you see the seating area and the Mobile Order Pick Up window. Every time I go there is no line and I'm just a step away from the napkins. Trust me, you will need napkins to enjoy this delicious treat. 

    Did you know that you can also use your My Disney Experience Mobile App for Merchandise Mobile Checkout? I love shopping but I hate lines. As a result, I use this feature all the time. I just press the "+" sign located in the middle of the bottom of the My Disney Experience Mobile Account. Look for Merchandise Mobile Checkout and find the store you are in. If location services are on and working correctly it may even bring to the top the store you are currently in. Then scan your new treasures, check out, and when you leave find one of the many Merchandise Mobile checkout stands near the exits and show your QR code to them. You are done and now off to your next adventure! If you have any eligible discounts such as those that come with being an Annual Passholder or a Disney Rewards Credit Card then those are automatically applied. You can see any affiliations or memberships you are a part of also through the app by clicking "Memberships & Passes" under your accounts page.
