What nights are semi formal and pirate nights on the Disney Magic 21-25, 2025 sailing?

Ahoy there, Kieran, and welcome to planDisney! You’ll be sailing on one of my favorite itineraries before you know it, so let’s help you get packing!

Your 4-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral stops by both of Disney’s private island getaways, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, so even though you’re sailing on the Disney Magic, this really is a DREAM cruise. While of course you can choose to wear whatever you want during your sailing, if you’d like to bring your best formal attire, the optional dress-up night for this itinerary will be on Thursday (Night 2) after your Day at Sea. This is the night my crew and I also like to schedule a private photo session at Shutters Photography Studio, as well as take advantage of all the fun photo backdrops they set up before dinner.

Then on Friday (Night 3), you’ll have the pleasure of experiencing Pirate Night after a lovely day at Lighthouse Point. Grab the red Mickey Mouse bandana from your stateroom before dinner, put on your best pirate garb, and get ready to party like a pirate with your fellow scalawags on board. After the “Pirates in the Caribbean” Deck Party, turn your attention to the skies where you’ll witness one of the most fabulous fireworks displays you’ll ever see (weather permitting).

While the other two nights of your cruise are deemed “Casual” nights, you’ll find many of your fellow Disney-loving friends wearing everything from comfortable cruise attire to outfits that coordinate with their favorite Disney Characters. Speaking of Disney Pals, make sure to keep an eye on your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for Character Greeting times (even on the islands!).

I hope this helps you prepare for your upcoming voyage. If you want even more help getting those suitcases ready, check out this handy dandy packing checklist too. And if you think of anything else we can help with, I hope you’ll hop on back to us here at planDisney, Kieran.

    Anchors aweigh!
