On the nights the parks are opened 3 extra hours, are they also extra crowded? Should we avoid those days? I'm going the second week in December so maybe that's not an issue. How about the extra morning hours? Same thing?

    Hi Bill!

It has been my experience that the evening Extra Magic Hours (EMH) are not overly crowded, especially compared to the morning EMH.  Families would rather get up early and start the day than stay up at night into the early morning hours.  I tend to avoid the parks that have the early EMH just because they get so crowded so fast.  This isn’t the case all the time and might not be during your vacation.

You have picked a fantastic time to go.  My family goes to Disney World every year in the second week of December for our anniversary and it’s a really pleasant time.  The Christmas and New Years crowds haven’t arrived yet and you can still enjoy all of the holiday decorations.  (My favorite part)

    Enjoy your vacation!
