Welcome to planDisney, Julie! Let's shed some light (see what I did there?) on your question.
The Tree of Life Awakenings, which are beautiful projections on the stunning
Tree of Life icon at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, typically occur during times of the year at which the sun sets earlier. Since this theme park usually closes sooner than the others and may not be open when it's dark out, the show does not usually run during the spring/summer/early fall seasons.
If the Tree of Life Awakenings are not showing on your next trip, there is certainly no shortage of nighttime lights at the other theme parks. There are the
nighttime spectaculars, my favorite of which is
Happily Ever After at
Magic Kingdom Park. However, I
just got back from the
Walt Disney World Resort yesterday and I saw
Luminous The Symphony of Us at
EPCOT for the first time. And I can now tell you from first-hand experience, you do
not want to sleep on this one! Plus, each theme park takes on a special glow at night. And if Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park
is open once the sun goes down, you do not want to skip a visit to
Pandora - The World of Avatar. It is truly spectacular at night!
If you have any other questions,
please don't hesitate to reach out again.
At last, I see the light,
Matt
