Hiya, Andrea! What an exciting experience, to bring three generations of your family together for the trip of a lifetime!
If you have the time in your schedule, and if it fits within your budget, I recommend spending four nights at your hotel of choice during your stay, as opposed to three nights. Spending four nights gives you and your family the chance to take more breaks and naps, which would be helpful with a toddler, preschooler, and elderly family member. This option also allows you to spend some time at your hotel pool to relax, play, and hang out as a family. Overall, I think this option will leave you feeling less stressed, and more open to living in the moment!
If you haven’t already booked your hotel stay, I recommend taking a look at
the three hotels of the Disneyland Resort –
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, the
Disneyland Hotel, and
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. They’re all super close to both theme parks; in fact, the Grand Californian is adjacent to Disney California Adventure Park! You can be out of your room and in the park in minutes, thanks to the exclusive park entrance for hotel Guests. You can also easily access the Disneyland Hotel via the Disneyland Monorail from Disneyland Park, too! An extra perk of staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel is the benefit of
Extra Magic Hour, an exclusive early-admission option available to hotel Guests for every day of your stay.
Wishing you pixie-dusted planning!
