Ahoy there, Marla, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you’re getting ready for a spook-tacular sailing on the Disney Wish next month, so I’d be delighted to help you look ahead to the different theme nights you can expect to experience on this itinerary.
I consulted with my crystal ball, and it seems you’ll have some fun opportunities for dressing up on almost every night of your cruise! On Night 2, after your first day at sea, you’ll want to put on your costumes for Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party and some trick-or-treating fun. Dinner attire that night is Cruise Casual or Halloween, so feel free to be as festive as you feel, as long as you pay attention to
Disney’s costume guidelines. You’ll also see Mickey, Minnie, and friends dressed up in their Halloween best for Character Greetings and around the ship.
The following evening, on Night 3 after your day in Nassau, it’s time to trade in your costume for pirate gear!
Pirate Night is always a crowd favorite, complete with swashbuckling shows and (weather permitting, and assuming Jack Sparrow behaves!) dazzling fireworks at sea. Get ready to wave around that pirate bandana you’ll find in your stateroom and shout a hearty “Yo ho, yo ho!” alongside your fellow scalawags.
Finally, your last full day will be spent in paradise at Disney’s private island,
Castaway Cay, before closing out your vacation with an Optional Dress-Up Night at dinner. It’s a wonderful way to end your voyage, regardless of whether you choose to dress like a royal or keep things Cruise Casual. Personally, I jump at any opportunity to get my family to put on something special (and hopefully coordinating) so we can take holiday portraits in the Grand Hall. I also recommend pre-purchasing the
Unlimited Photo Package before embarkation day to not only save money, but also guarantee that you’ll have all those professional pictures as memories when you get off the ship.
Once you step on board, you'll find all these details in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Until then, I know your four-night
Halloween on the High Seas cruise is going to be the perfect mix of seasonal fun and pirate adventures, so I can’t wait for you to experience all the magic with your crew. And if you think of any other questions before your sailing, I hope you’ll visit us again at
planDisney!
Bon voyage,
Sami
