I am going on 7 nights Disney fantasy cruise Mediterranean in May. What night is formal night?

Ahoy there, Helen. Welcome to planDisney!

Thanks for taking the time to sail by with your question for us. I’m excited you’ll be boarding my favorite ship, Disney Fantasy, for a 7-night sailing in the Mediterranean in May. I sailed on its sister ship, Disney Dream, from Barcelona last year and had a lovely time. Barcelona is a spectacular town, and I hope you’ll have a chance to explore it before embarking on your cruise.

During your 7-night cruise, you will have a formal night as well as a semi-formal night. Typically, formal night is the second night of your cruise. Though optional, most people don their fancy attire and dress up for the occasion. And it’s not just Guests who look marvelous that evening. Your favorite Disney characters will also be dressed to the nines as well! It’s the perfect evening to gather your loved ones and snap a nice family photo!

And speaking of dressing up, don’t forget to bring along your pirate garb for some swashbuckling fun on Pirate Night! Arrgh, shiver me timbers. What a delightful time you’ll have as you sing and dance at the Pirate Night Deck Party

Be sure to check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you’re onboard to confirm the schedule of your theme nights as they are subject to change. I wish you and your loved ones a magical sailing! As always, if you have more vacation-planning questions, please don’t hesitate to visit us on planDisney again.

    Bon voyage,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
