Hi, when are the nightime firework/shows at the disney parks during august?

    Hello Robert!

Welcome back to planDisney! Nighttime spectaculars are one of my absolute favorite things at Walt Disney World. Let's discuss when to expect them during your August holiday.

Walt Disney World typically releases theme park hours and entertainment schedules 60 days in advance. For more precise timetables, please start checking the Park Hours calendar beginning two months before your trip. Once you arrive, use the My Disney Experience mobile app, your resort television, or your in-room digital assistant, "Hey Disney!" for daily entertainment information.

In the meantime, I'll share the nighttime spectacular schedule for June and July for planning purposes since August should look similar. Remember that entertainment schedules are subject to change, especially during the summer when thunderstorms are common in the afternoon and evening.

    • Luminous - The Symphony of Us is performed nightly at 9 PM in EPCOT throughout June and July. I would expect this to continue into August, but again, always check the My Disney Experience mobile app.
    • Happily Ever After is a fireworks show that occurs nightly at 9:20 PM around Cinderella Castle. It's my favorite evening entertainment, but its schedule will change starting August 9, when Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties begin. Happy Ever After is not shown on party nights, so stay tuned for more information on this page and the My Disney Experience mobile app.
    • At Disney's Hollywood Studios, Fantasmic! delights Guests with an open-air musical spectacle of lights, water, and pyrotechnics. The show currently takes place at 9 or 9:30 PM each night. Continue to check the website and app for August showtimes.
    • New this year to the evening entertainment lineup is Disney Dreams That Soar, a drone show that dazzles Disney Springs visitors along Lake Buena Vista. It's scheduled to occur nightly at 9 and 10:45 PM, and I'll be watching for August updates, too. That's when my family and I will have our first chance to behold this unique spectacle. We can't wait!
I hope this has been helpful, Robert, and gives you an idea of what you might experience later this summer. Thanks again for sending your question to planDisney, and have a magical day!

Greetings! I'm Betsy, a middle school teacher, wife, and mom of two. My family and I love to travel the world, but our best memories are those made when we're visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort. No matter how many times we visit, there is always something new to see, ride, or eat at the Disney Parks. Learn More About Betsy
