Hi Karla!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Looks like you are getting ready to jump on booking Port Adventures for your cruise on the Disney Fantasy. These ashore activities are one of my favorite things to plan for our vacations, especially when we are seeing someplace new.
Here are some of the
Port Adventures I found that will accommodate and hopefully delight a 3-year-old on your Western Caribbean itinerary:
When I think of Cozumel, my mind goes to Mayan ruins and chocolate! So the
Cozumel Ruins, Chocolate and Beach Break adventure sounds like the perfect blend. I’m doing this excursion in less than a month, so I’ll have firsthand knowledge soon! Another excursion combining culture and food is the
Chocolate and Piñata Seaside Workshop. Finally, if being outdoors sounds more like your scene, I recommend the
Cozumel Beach Break.
In George Town, Grand Cayman, I can personally recommend Stingray City. However, that may not be a toddler’s cup of tea. So instead, I’d opt for the
Cayman Dolphin Encounter,
Coral Beach Club on Seven Mile Beach, or the
SeaWorld Observatory Semi-Submarine. Your kiddo may see plenty of Nemos and Dorys on this one!
When Falmouth, Jamaica comes to mind, I immediately think Dunn’s River Falls. Let me set your expectation: 36 inches is the height required to climb the falls, and they have a challenging degree of difficulty. But even just seeing them is a marvel. Alternatively, the
Deluxe Jewel Beach Break makes a wonderful beach destination. Of course, I may be biased since many moons ago, I got engaged there!
Review the full list of Port Adventures as there are limited selections for a 3-year-old. The age requirements will be clearly posted online. Check under the Destinations tab for Port Adventures, choose Caribbean Ports of Call, and then you can select the specific ports on that page to find what is available. Another option would be to have your Mouseketeer stay on the ship in the
Youth Clubs. As long as they are fully potty trained, 3-year-olds can stay and play in the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab while adults experience an excursion in one of the ports. I call that a win-win!
Hopefully we've steered you in the right direction for your landlubber adventures. Set a course for the Disney Parks Moms Panel again if you need more assistance planning your voyage!
Happy Sailing!
