Ahoy there, Stephanie, and welcome to planDisney! It looks like you’ll be sailing on one of my dream itineraries this fall, so I’m glad you stopped by so I can help you plan your
packing list!
If you’re consulting with Edna Mode as you consider how big of a suitcase to bring, let her know that this sailing is scheduled to have two themed
Deck Parties and three total theme nights. The most anticipated may be one that combines both:
Pirate Night on Night 7! Not only will you enjoy a ton of themed activities and a specially-themed menu for dinner that evening, you will also get to party like a pirate on deck. While you don’t have to dress up, many of your fellow scalawags will be putting on their buccaneer best, including your favorite
Disney Characters! Your other deck party will be Mickey’s Color Spin, and that is scheduled to take place on Night 11.
When it comes to theme nights for dinner, you can expect Night 5 to be Formal, whereas Night 10 will be Semi-Formal. While you can certainly break out your finest sequins and pearls, you can also remain cruise casual for any evening. To further clarify the difference between the two dress-up nights, I often explain to fellow Guests that whereas men might choose to wear a tuxedo on Formal Night, they could opt for a suit or sport coat on Semi-Formal Night. Likewise, ladies may waive a magic wand to put on a gown for the former, while settling into a tea-length dress or jumpsuit for the latter.
And darling, when it comes to theme nights, remember what Edna Mode always says: “Luck favors the prepared!” So pack those statement pieces and get ready to strike a pose. While a little flair is absolutely essential, capes are not, so leave the supersuits on shore. And if you need any more fashion advice before your trip, we’ll be ready to receive your query here at
