6 night trip with 3 and 7 year old boys. Wondering about strollers. Should we rent double stroller at park or consider bringing sit & stand type? We are staying at AK, and I am concerned about bringing the stroller on the bus?? Thanks!

    Hi Rebecca!

If you can fit it in your budget, renting a double-stroller vs. bringing your own makes things easier and certainly less stressful..

Our family (family of 4 with 2 children ages 5 and 8) have done both: bringing our own stroller and renting the single or double stroller. Without question renting the stroller made our experience so much more enjoyable. Although we never used the sit and stand stroller (cool strollers, by the way), we did use the standard Graco stroller with car seat attachment, and later a smaller, foldable, travel stroller. Both turned out to be cumbersome, and somewhat of a nightmare when it came to breaking it down, squeezing on the bus, monorail, or boat, and just trying to manage all the equipment AND children at the same time.

The Disney double strollers are fantastically sturdy, large enough to handle children of your age, don't have to be broken down, and don't have to be taken with you when you leave the park or area (such as Downtown Disney).

The cost isn't the cheapest (at last memory, $31 per day for double stroller, but $27 per day if do the multi-day discount), but sometimes I'll sacrifice the added cost for a little peace of mind :-) It helped our family tremendously and even was large enough for both to fall asleep next to each other (which made for priceless photo op's)...

So again, if you can take the added cost, and like the peace of mind, take a look at the rental strollers at Disney! Good Luck!
