We have an 11 night resort stay booked for Dec 2019. It's possible that we may need to check out after the 8th night but we will not know for certain until the 2nd night of our stay. Is this possible to do without penalty? TIA

    Hi Michael!

Thanks for your question. An 11-night stay supersedes my longest stay at Disney World (7 nights, 8 days), so a tip of my Mickey ears to you! More days equal more fun, so hopefully you'll be able to enjoy your entire planned trip and not have to cut it early..

My only suggestion is, if you haven't already done so, see if you can add Disney's Travel Protection Plan to your vacation package. I think if you've already paid for your vacation in its entirety, you may not be able to add, but I would still speak with Disney Guest Services to see if that option may be on the table. That is really the only way you'll be able to qualify for a refund in the event you must cancel your vacation or interrupt it mid-vacay. As life can throw curve balls at the last minute, I always add Travel Protection to my vacation package in the event something unexpected were to happen to where we can't go to this place of sheer magic.

To contact one of the fine people at the Disney Reservation Center, you can call (407) W-DISNEY and see what they may be able to share as it relates to your potential circumstance.

Good Luck, and have a Mickey Magical Day!
