We have a 8 night pkg booked starting 9-18 would it be better to schedule starting the 9-11? 9-11 is the end of Labor Day week and the 9-25 is the start of the International Food and Wind Fest. Which week do u think will be busier? Thanks

    Lora:

I've been to WDW in September and found that the end was busier than the beginning of the month.  In fact, the week after Labor Day has traditionally seen a relatively low to moderate crowd level because schools are in and most guests enjoyed the Labor Day weekend off.

You nailed the reason why the end is busier: the Food & Wine Festival.  Although the festival is only beginning the day of your departure, you will start to see crowd levels rise as guests begin arriving toward the end of your trip to enjoy the festival.

Personally, I LOVE the festival and would tolerate longer lines to enjoy it.  But if you're simply looking for lower crowd levels to make your trip magical, and all other things are equal for you, go with the earlier dates.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
