Ahoy there, Beth, and welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you’ll be setting sail on one of Disney’s newest ships for a not-so-scary voyage this October. Let’s follow the treasure map to discover when you’ll be meeting some Pirates in the Caribbean!
My crystal ball is telling me that after your day in St. Thomas, Night 4 will be when you want to break out your best pirate garb for
Pirate Night! And if the night skies cooperate, remember to look up to the stars after the
Deck Party for some incredible fireworks at sea!
The night before, following your second day at sea, is when you’ll celebrate Mickey’s Mousequerade Party on deck. This is the evening that even adults can wear costumes (as long as they comply with Disney’s guidelines), so feel free to pack something festive for this night. Or if you prefer, you can stick with Cruise Casual attire.
And in case you were wondering, Night 2 will be your Formal Night, and Night 6 is when you can wear Semi-Formal attire. Again, you can choose to wear whatever you are most comfortable with, but here are some guidelines:
- For men, this might mean the difference between wearing a tuxedo and a suit, or a suit on Formal Night and a sports jacket on Semi-Formal Night.
- For women, we could wear a gown for Formal Night and a dress or pantsuit for Semi-Formal Night.
I have yet to sail on the
Disney Treasure, but have heard incredible reviews about dining at Plaza de Coco and the new show, “Disney The Tale of Moana”. Make sure your crew saves some time to explore Sarabi lounge as well. Speaking of lounges, the adults in your travel party will undoubtedly feel a sense of nostalgia and classic Disney nods in some of the newest adult-only spaces, such as The Haunted Mansion Parlor and the Skipper Society.
Here’s to a frightfully fun
Halloween on the High Seas vacation. Should any other questions pop up before your trip, I hope you’ll float back to us here at
planDisney.
Bon voyage,
Sami
