Hi Claire!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney before your Walt Disney World Resort vacation begins tomorrow! I'm sure you're excited to enjoy every magical moment, so let's waste no time helping you plan a day at
Magic Kingdom Park that is practically perfect in every way!
Claire, I find the easiest place to view the
full list of park hours and entertainment schedules is on the Walt Disney World Resort website. On November 11, 2024, Magic Kingdom is closing at 6:00 PM for those holding regular theme park admission to make way for
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party that evening. To attend the party, you must have a separate admission ticket. With this change in the normal operating hours, there are also some changes in entertainment schedules. Since it sounds like you have a standard, date-based ticket to the park, you'll be able to enjoy the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade at 2:00 PM. The nighttime parade,
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, and evening fireworks,
Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, are reserved for Guests attending the Christmas party that evening.
While I know this may not be the answer you were hoping for, I'm happy to share a little tip for how you can enjoy a different type of nighttime parade and even catch a glimpse of the fireworks from outside of the parks. When the park closes at 6:00 PM, you can take the
Walt Disney World Resort Monorail and go on a bit of a festive tour of several resorts. Your first stop will be
Disney's Contemporary Resort, where you can grab a cocktail from Steakhouse 71 Lounge and take a look at their gingerbread display - modeled after Cinderella Castle! Next, you can take the monorail to
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for some light bites and a drink at Tambu Lounge. Fun fact: you can usually order a few highlights from the neighboring restaurant, 'Ohana, while here! Finally, hop back on the monorail to
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. You won't want to miss the giant gingerbread house and beautiful tree in the lobby, followed by a stop at either Enchanted Rose or Citricos Lounge. Between 8:25 PM and 10:30 PM, you can head down by the water at any of these resorts to catch a peek at the
Electrical Water Pageant as it makes its way across Seven Seas Lagoon. You'll also be able to walk down to the beach areas at these resorts at 10:00 PM for a beautiful view of the fireworks from Magic Kingdom!
Claire, I hope this information is helpful, and you enjoy a wonderful visit to Magic Kingdom Park tomorrow! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
Cheers,
Kristi
