We are going on the 8 night Mexican Riviera Holiday cruise in December. My husband and I want to take our two older kids (17 and 14) on a Canopy Tour, but our youngest child is too young (7). Can he stay on board in the Oceaneer's Club? Thank you!

    Hi, Monica!

You're going to have to give me a minute to get over my jealousy...ok, I think I've collected myself enough to answer your question! Just kidding -- but I am thrilled that you're getting to experience the 8-night Mexican Riviera Holiday itinerary from the home port of Los Angeles and over Christmas! You and your family are in for a real treat!

I have children who are similar ages as yours, and we recently sailed on the Disney Wonder to Alaska.  Some of the Port Adventures are similar in that they are quite active and aren't necessarily suited for the little ones. We found out how long we were going to be in port each day and decided that since we had more time in one of the ports that we would split the day with two Port Adventures.  My husband and I took the entire family panning for gold in the morning, and then, ventured out with our 16-, 14- and 11-year olds zip-lining in Skagway. We left our 7-year-old at Disney's Oceaneer Club/Lab for about six hours.  I don't think anyone else in the family thought about the "baby" that afternoon except for me, but as it turned out, he did great.  He had lunch; made flubber; watched a movie; met a few characters; and went on a ship-wide scavenger hunt. He had as many stories as we did!

That's what I love about Disney cruises -- everyone thinks that whatever they're doing is the best activity! Let me know if you have more questions. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
