Ahoy there, Adriana, and thanks for sailing back to us here at planDisney! You made an incredible choice for your first Disney Cruise. A
12-night Mediterranean Cruise sounds dreamy, so let’s dive into all that’s in store for your adventure at sea.
I’m delighted to report that on Night 7 of your trip on the
Disney Fantasy, after you depart
Mykonos, you’ll get to experience
Pirate Night. While there will not be any fireworks on this sailing, you and your fellow scalawags will party like a pirate on deck after a pirate-themed menu in the main dining restaurants. Plus, keep an eye out for your favorite Disney pals dressed in their finest pirate garb. And while you shouldn’t feel any pressure to wear a pirate outfit yourself, many Guests choose to do so. I like to keep it simple by putting on a white shirt with black pants and red shoes (along with the pirate bandana you’ll receive in your stateroom before dinner). Sometimes I’ll even throw on a vest or corset to complete the look.
Speaking of dressing up, I saw that your itinerary also has a Formal Night on Night 2 while you’re at sea. My family usually takes this opportunity to book a complimentary photo session with one of the professional photographers onboard. I also recommend pre-purchasing the
unlimited photo package to save money and ensure you don’t miss any incredible photo opportunities during your vacation.
On night 11, dinner attire is set to Semi-Formal, so you’ll have one final opportunity to wear something special you
packed just for this trip. But keep this in mind: all of these theme nights are optional. This trip is exactly that, YOUR trip. I’ve seen every type of cruiser when I’m onboard, from people like my dad who wore a warm-up suit to every meal, to Guests like my daughter who wore a costume every chance she got. The point is to have fun, be comfortable, and enjoy every moment surrounded by the people you love while taking advantage of the incredible service provided by the Disney Cruise Line Cast Members.
One final tip is to download the free
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app as soon as you can. Not only does it have an adorable countdown to your cruise, but once onboard, you’ll have access to showtimes, activity schedules, and even the ability to book
Port Adventures and specialty dining.
I hope this helps provide a snapshot of all that is to come. If you think of any other questions along the way, Adriana, don’t hesitate to head back to us here at
planDisney!
Bon voyage,
Sami
