Ahoy there, Marie, and welcome to planDisney! Your 5-Night cruise this October aboard the beautiful
Disney Dream is sure to be frightfully fun.
I’ve sailed the
Halloween on the High Seas experience more than any other, so I can tell you that you’re in for a voyage filled with treats, treasures, and just a touch of spookiness. On Night 2, after a relaxing day at sea, you and your crew will be treated to the
Mickey’s Mousequerade Deck Party. This is your chance to don your most boo-tiful Halloween costume and enjoy candy stations, themed entertainment, and your Disney pals in their best Halloween attire. I just recommend reading through
Disney’s costume guidelines before packing. If you don’t want to dress up, feel free to stay Cruise Casual (which is also the theme for your first and last nights onboard).
Then, get ready to swap your witch’s hat for a Mickey bandana, because Night 4 is
Pirate Night! After your second day at sea, the ship transforms into a pirate haven, complete with a Caribbean-themed dinner menu, swashbuckling deck party, and (weather permitting) a grand finale of fireworks lighting up the night sky. Whether you go all out in full pirate garb or just a few nautical touches, you’ll be part of an unforgettable evening on the high seas. Yo ho, yo ho, it’s a pirate’s life for you!
Since we’re talking about
what to pack, I thought you might also appreciate knowing that on Night 3, after your day in Cozumel, the dinner theme is Optional Dress-Up. This is also the night I like to schedule a free portrait session on board. As a mom, I know how hard it can be to get everyone in the family together for a picture (especially with me in it!), so why not let the professionals work their Disney Magic? Who knows, you might even capture the perfect pose for your holiday cards this year!
To make sure you don’t miss any of the frightfully fun or pirate-perfect activities, keep an eye on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app during your voyage. It will be your go-to for schedules, activity reminders, and even onboard chats with your travel crew and the new friends you make.
There’s nothing quite like mixing the magic of Disney with the chills and thrills of Halloween. I hope you have a fang-tastic time, Marie, and if you think of any other questions before you set sail, you know where to find us here at
planDisney!
Bon voyage,
Sami
