Which night is the Frozen night and how does one prepare for it?

    Ahoy, Kirill!

Welcome aboard planDisney! If my trusty Detective Mickey instincts are correct, it sounds like you’re just a few short months away from setting sail on the Disney Wonder for an unforgettable 7-night Alaskan adventure. Talk about a voyage that’s worth melting for! Between the breathtaking scenery and magical moments onboard, you’re in for an ice-travaganza like no other!

Now, let’s talk about the coolest night of your cruise—Frozen Night! Currently, your Frozen Deck Party is scheduled to take place on Day 3 of your sailing, which is the day you are set to visit the Stikine Icecap. As Elsa would say, “the cold never bothered me anyway,” but it’s a good idea to pack your warmest Arendelle-approved attire because you may be doing some actual freezing while you're dancing the night away under the Alaskan sky.

You won’t want to miss the magical transformation of the atrium into a wintry wonderland. Olaf may not be the only snowman you see onboard! The Frozen festivities often include character meet-and-greets, snowflake-filled surprises, and a flurry of photo ops, so keep your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app handy for the latest times and locations once onboard.

And speaking of surprises—you’ll also get to enjoy a very special Frozen-themed dinner that evening in your rotational dining restaurant. While I haven’t experienced this menu myself (yet!), I’ve heard it’s packed with dishes inspired by the Kingdom of Arendelle, so you may want to arrive hungry and leave room for a sweet treat that’s sure to be love at first bite.

As for how to prepare? Well, this is your moment to “let it go” and dive into the fun! Many Guests dress in Frozen-inspired outfits—whether that’s Elsa’s icy blue gown, Kristoff’s rugged mountain look, or even Olaf’s warm hugs energy. When my family and I lived in Alaska, we learned quickly that layers are your best friend. Even if the sun is out (and it often is late into the evening up there), it can still get chilly, so having gloves, hats, and coats will keep you comfy and ready to celebrate.

If you’re sailing with little ones, this is a great day to break out the bubble wands, snowflake accessories, or even plan a scavenger hunt around the ship for snowman-building supplies. You never know when Sven might be nearby looking for a carrot snack!

I hope this helps you and your crew prepare to “freeze the night away” in true Disney style! If anything else comes up while you’re preparing for your epic journey north, don’t hesitate to sail back to planDisney—we’re always here to lend a flipper or an enchanted glove.

Sea ya real soon with a splash of April fun and a boatload of Disney magic,
    Dustin
