Is there more night entertainment at the boardwalk or downtown Disney? Which would you suggest if you were limited to one night for dinner and a stoll? if we do downtoen disney where would you eat - sit down - RSVP needed or not?

Valerie, both your options are wonderful but I am very partial to the Boardwalk area.  It just seems to come alive at night with street entertainment along the way, some carnival type activities, great dining, and wonderful entertainment.  Our favorite restaurant is the Flying Fish which sits right on the Boardwalk but we also love the Yachtsman Steakhouse across the way. And not to mention all the great EPCOT World Showcase dining which is just steps away to the International Gateway for the park.  For the sports minded you can visit the ESPN Zone to catch the latest scores or play one of the many video arcade games.  But my favorite entertainment is at Jellyrolls where the dueling pianos are in action every  night.

Downtown Disney has many dining choices as well but most will require the advanced reservations just to be sure.  Our favorite is Fulton's Crab House but Wolfgang Puck, Raglan Road, and House of Blues are amazing as well.  For dining experiences you have two choices with Rainforest Cafe and T-Tex: A Prehistoric Family Adventure being the newest.  The added plus to Downtown Disney is the shopping that you can do either before or after your meal.  And if you want to see one of the great movies that might have just come out you can stay and take that in at the AMC Theaters.
