We are going on the 4 night Disney Dream over Christmas 2014. Is there still a pirate dinner night, 1 semi-formal, & 2casual dinner nights? Do people wear there pirate costumes to dinner if one of the nights is a pirate theme? My children love to dress

    Ahoy, Deborah!

Thank you for stopping by the Moms Panel with a great question. Pirate night is definitely one of the most memorable nights on a Disney Cruise. Where else in the whole world can the entire family enjoy being pirates on a ship out on the high seas? The Disney Dream comes alive and everyone gets in on the fun. You're gonna want to pack your pirate costumes for your voyage - even Santa might join in on the fun!

You definitely want to be all dressed for the pirate party at dinner. Even your dining team will be dressed in their scallywag best. Your buccaneers will have a blast walking around the ship checking out all the pirates. Don't forget your camera, even Captain Mickey and the gang will be out in full swing with their signature Disney Cruise Line pirate attire... and you never know -  there may be other Captains who show up for the Pirates IN the Caribbean Party that night!

The 4 night cruises will usually have 1 formal night (dress up), 1 pirate night and 2 cruise casual evenings as the suggested attire. You are more than welcome to bring dressier outfits of course, since it is the holiday season, and you might want to take more photos each night. The kids are absolutely welcome to come dressed in their best Disney Princess or Prince attire each night. So much magical memories to be made, I'm sure you can't wait to capture all these special moments.

Have a blast on your Very Merrytime Cruise, Deborah! Please do write back if you have other specific questions that we can help you with.

    Have fun planning!
