Hi there, Thomas!
Thanks for sending your question to planDisney! It looks like you’ll be heading out on a Disney Cruise next month! Woo hoo! Have you started thinking about what to pack yet? I like to start gathering things a couple of weeks in advance to avoid scrambling at the last minute (and so I have a perfectly good excuse to go shopping!). If you need inspiration, this
packing guide is a great place to start.
I’m happy to hear you booked your
transportation through Disney Cruise Line. It really does make getting to the ship so easy and stress‑free! As you may already know, you’ll receive your Port Arrival Time when you complete your
Online Check-In. The last few times I used transportation reserved through Disney Cruise Line, I actually arrived at the port before my assigned time. It was such a pleasant surprise! While early arrival isn’t guaranteed, you can feel confident that transportation arranged with Disney Cruise Line will get you there with plenty of time to board.
Since you might not have access to your checked luggage for a few hours after boarding, I always recommend keeping your first‑day essentials in a carry‑on, including medications, sunscreen, swimsuits, and anything else you’ll want right away. Honestly, you may even want to wear your swimsuits under your clothes! My kids love racing straight to the
AquaMouse the moment we’re onboard...and I go with them, even if I’m not totally ready to get splashed!
Thomas, I hope your upcoming voyage is absolutely incredible. If you need anything else as you get ready to set sail, don’t hesitate to reach out to planDisney again.
Happy sailing!
Jen
