Hi William!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Sailing out of New York is going to be so exciting! I just booked a voyage for my family sailing out of New York, too! I can't wait to be aboard the ship looking out at the New York City skyline with Captain Mickey at the helm. What a perfect backdrop as we set sail to paradise!
I believe your 8-Night voyage is scheduled for this upcoming October! I understand your concern regarding the weather at that time of year, but try not to worry. The weather in the Bahamas during the month of October averages right around 74 - 87 degrees.
Disney Cruise Line always puts Guests' safety first and foremost above anything else. We've been aboard a Disney Cruise while there was some challenging weather on the horizon. The Captain of our ship changed our route in order to avoid the weather and, most importantly, keep us safe!
It might get chilly in the evenings while on deck but I love that! There's something so fun about cuddling with family while watching a movie on Funnel Vision, under the stars, on a breezy night at sea! Be sure to bring a jacket and a pair of jeans (or long pants) to wear for evenings on deck. Don't forget to pack your swimsuit, too! Even if it's a little chilly during the day, the
pools onboard are heated.
William, I hope I was able to ease your worry a little about the weather. If you have any other questions before your 8-Night itinerary to paradise, don't hesitate to come back and ask!
Beth
