On a 5 night cruise is there a formal night

Ahoy there Janet! Welcome to planDisney!  It's always great to see a fellow Missourian here, so I'm so glad you sailed my way with your questions about special nights on your 5-Night Western Caribbean Cruise from Miami on the Disney Dream! I hope you're ready for an amazing adventure!

Unfortunately, your sailing is not scheduled to have an official formal night - but I'm here to tell you not to let that stop you and your crew from dressing to the nines! One of the things I love most about Disney Cruise Line is that the Dress Code is meant to let every Guest enjoy their sailing as they see fit! Sometimes that means going "Cruise Casual" every night, and others it's "dress to impress" for formal and semi-formal nights!

If you decide to bring along your fanciest attire, I've got three "planDrew-approved" suggestions on where to create your own formal night!

    • I'd suggest wearing it the night you're scheduled to dine in Royal Palace! The theming is a bit more upscale and subdued than at Animator's Palate, and that grand entrance off the atrium is great for photos next to the statue of Admiral Donald!
    • Or you could pretend you're dining in manicured gardens in the French countryside as you head down to Deck 2 and enter Enchanted Garden!
    • If it's the adults in your crew looking to turn dinner into a night on the town, you could make a reservation at Palo or Remy for a nice quiet dinner for two!

But if you decide to leave space in your luggage by leaving your dressy clothes at home, you'll have more room for souvenirs!

Whether you and your crew decide to dress up or not, here's to an absolute Dream of a sailing, with fair winds, following seas, and magical memories to last a lifetime! Thank you so much for your question, Janet and I'll SEA you real soon if you come up with any others - I'm just a message in a bottle away!

Until then may your anchor be tight and your compass true!
