Hi Lesley!
Isn't it fun thinking about and planning your upcoming Disney Cruise during the cold winter months? Booking a March cruise on the beautiful
Disney Fantasy is the perfect way to beat the winter blues! Before you know it, you'll be sailing through the Caribbean with Captain Mickey while soaking up the warmth of the sun.
On seven-night Caribbean cruises you can probably plan for four cruise-casual nights, one
Pirate Night, one semi-formal night and one formal night. The majority of Guests at dinner during the cruise-casual nights will be wearing jeans and casual tops. For Pirate Night, eye patches and costumes are welcomed but not required! I dressed my son up in full pirate attire once, but typically my family wears matching Mickey pirate T-shirts. It's "arrr" tradition! Cruise-casual in lieu of pirate attire is perfectly acceptable. On the semi-formal night, khaki pants and a polo shirt would be quite nice for your husband to wear and khaki shorts and a polo shirt would be perfect for your 13-year-old son. For the one formal night, many families will be quite dressed up (dresses, suits and ties or tuxedos). With that being said, I've seen families on formal night at dinner not dressed up at all and still getting the incredible service from their Servers and Assistant Servers. For the cruises when my family opts out of getting dressed up for formal night, we usually dine at Cabanas. Cabanas is open for table service during dinner and is always a delicious meal! Once onboard, check your Personal Navigator newsletter for the dinner hours.
Thanks so much for stopping back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! I can't wait for your family to set sail on your voyage aboard the Disney Fantasy.
