Hi there, Sherry!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. fellow Texan! Your Disney Cruise Line vacation will be here before you know it and I know how excited you are! My family is actually getting ready to board the
Disney Wonder later this week and we are so ready! Well…once I get packed we will be ready!
On your six-night sailing you will have one “dress up night”, one Pirate Night and four cruise casual nights. The second night (Saturday night) is your scheduled “dress up” night and you will find that Guests will be dressed in a variety of attire – anything from cruise casual to formal wear. It is up to you how dressed up you choose to get; I like to dress in the middle of that range – nice sundress for me and slacks with a button down for my boys and husband.
Pirate Night is scheduled for your fourth night at sea and prepare for a fun and exciting night onboard! If you haven’t yet picked up some pirate gear for that night, go ahead and get some while all the Halloween costumes are out! We just picked up some new ones for my boys since they apparently sprouted over the last month and the costume they wore in September no longer fits! You may also want to consider a Pirates League makeover for any young Mouseketeers traveling with you! My boys always look forward to being transformed into swashbuckling pirates complete with an eyepatch and (temporary) tattoo!
The countdown to your WONDERful adventure at sea is on!! Please feel free to come back with any other planning questions you may have as you continue to prepare to set sail with Captain Mickey!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
