Hi, on a 5 night Bahamas Disney cruise on the Fantasy, what typically is the dining rotation/themed night schedule? We have castaway cay, lookout cay, Nassau and a sea day and just wondered when pirate night would be etc. thanks

    Hi, Alison!

I’ve sailed this exact itinerary aboard the Disney Fantasy before, and it’s one of my favorites! The only thing better than visiting one of Disney Cruise Line's island retreats during a sailing is visiting both! Add in the beautiful Disney Fantasy, and you’re in for quite a memorable Disney cruise!

Disney Cruise Line uses a unique Rotational Dining system that allows you to dine at each of the three main themed restaurants onboard your cruise at least once during your sailing. The three Main Dining restaurants onboard the Disney Fantasy are Animator’s Palate, Royal Court, and Enchanted Garden.

I know that you're probably excited to find out where you'll be dining, so that you can plan for all those delicious meals onboard. However, dining rotations are not assigned and shared with Guests until embarkation day. The best way to determine which dining rotation you will have on your cruise is to log in to the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you arrive at the port, where it will be listed for you. Think of it like a delicious surprise Disney Cruise Line has waiting! I know I always get very excited when I pull up to my cruise and open up the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to find my dining rotation!

I do have a suggestion, however, if you would like to learn more about the Main Dining restaurants on your cruise. If you tap "Explore My Ship" in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, and then tap "Dining", there will be details about each restaurant, as well as its cuisine, theming, and photos of some of the delicious dishes you can expect!

As for the dress-up optional nightly schedule, you can also find this information in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once onboard. However, they do tend to hold a similar pattern, so I can share the themes I experienced on my 5-Night Bahamian Cruise last year to give you an idea of what you might expect:

    Night 1: Cruise Casual
    Night 2: Semi-Formal
    Night 3: Cruise Casual
    Night 4: Pirate Night
    Night 5: Cruise Casual

Speaking of dress-up optional, I saved the best for last: Pirate Night! To find the intended date of Pirate Night for your sailing, once your booking window opens, open up the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, and tap “My Plans” inside your reservation. When you click on “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique,” the night of Pirate Night will give you an option to make an appointment for a Pirate-Themed Makeover. This is how I can usually tell ahead of time which night will be Pirate Night on my cruise. The best way to prepare for this evening? If you'd like to dress up, start planning your best swashbuckling outfit for the “Pirates in the Caribbean” Deck Party, complete with fireworks at sea to end it in the best possible way!

Alison, I’m so excited for your upcoming sailing, as you’re going to have an amazing cruise! I wish you the most magical memories ahead!

    Bon Voyage,
