Welcome Aboard, Leslie!
You're going to love sailing on the beautiful
Disney Dream. The ship itself is a work of art, and there's so much to see and do! A five night cruise is the perfect amount of time to really get your sea legs and explore everything the ship has to offer.
On a five night sailing, you can expect to have three nights of "Cruise Casual" dinner attire, one Semi-Formal evening, and one Pirate Night. Cruise Casual is defined as "no swimwear or tank tops". We usually opt for outfits we would wear out to a casual dinner: capris and a cute top for me, and khakis and a golf shirt for my husband. The kids wear something comfortable that they can wear to the Youth Clubs after dinner.
On
Pirate Night, you'll want to join in the swashbuckling fun by donning your favorite pirate gear. Guests will be seen in all levels of pirate finery, from a simple skull-and-crossbones t-shirt to a full Captain Jack Sparrow costume. It's tons of fun to immerse yourself in the theme!
Semi-Formal night is a wonderful opportunity to dress up and take advantage of onboard photography services. The ship's photographers will be in the lobby atrium before and after dinner, with several different backgrounds and photo ops available. Recommended attire is: dress pants with a jacket or a suit for men, and a dress or pantsuit for women. I usually bring a dress that would be appropriate for Sunday morning church, or something like I would wear to an afternoon wedding.
I hope this helps with your planning, packing, and SHOPPING! Please let us know if you have more questions before you sail. Thanks for using the Disney Parks Moms Panel as a planning resource for your vacation!
Have a magical day! - Diane W.
