I am going on a 4 night Bahamas cruise in April with my family, including my 3 & 4 yr old sons. We are considering the Blue Lagoon Island Beach Day. We love the beach, but I have fair skin. Are there umbrellas or other shade options?

    Welcome Aboard, Katie!
Thanks for cruising by the Moms Panel with your question. I'm happy to help!

You've chosen a great Port Adventure for your family. The Blue Lagoon Island Beach Day is a wonderful option for families with younger cruisers. The private island is home to a pristine sandy beach with plenty of beach umbrellas, which will provide you with the shade you need on a sunny day! There are also hammocks in the shade - a perfect spot for a little down time in Nassau. (Not that you get much "down time" with two little ones!) As I was checking out this Port Adventure, I looked at the lunch menu (lunch is included), and wow, you're in for a feast. Everything sounds delicious!

No worries if you forget your sunscreen or run out while onboard. There are plenty of shops onboard where you can pick up some sun protection before heading out for your splashtacular adventure.

I hope this information helps. Wishing you a magical vacation sailing with Captain Mickey!
