My niece’s Navy hubby graduated from Basic Training & is now in school in FL, so he doesn’t have a base right now. How do we get military salute tickets. And if we have days left, will I need to be with her to use them on future 2024 trips?

    Hello there, Jamie!

Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you've decided to stop by with a phenomenal Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! First and foremost, a BIG congratulations to your family member on their recent graduation, and a heartfelt "thank you" for their service to our country. I'm honored by the opportunity to assist you with your vacation planning question!

The Walt Disney World Resort has several special offerings to show gratitude for U.S. military members. One such benefit is the Disney Military Salute Ticket, a deeply discounted multi-day theme park ticket meant especially for Eligible Service Members and their loved ones! Jamie, as long as your niece's husband has a valid military ID, he (or your niece) should be able to purchase Disney Military Salute Tickets for up to six individuals (including the Eligible Service Member) at any participating U.S. military ticket sales outlet. Alternatively, they may be able to order tickets online via the Shades of Green website.

Once your military family member has purchased your group's Disney Military Salute Tickets, they'll need to activate the tickets in person at any Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket booth or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. (Be sure to remind them to bring along your niece's husband's military ID for this part!) Once the tickets have been activated, your travel party will be welcome to use the tickets as they please - including on future trips that may not include the Eligible Service Member or their spouse. This year's Disney Military Salute Tickets can be used through December 20, 2024. After that date, any remaining ticket entitlements will expire and be lost. Jamie, keep in mind that this ticket type does require theme park reservations and is subject to select blockout dates.

I hope you've found this information to be useful and I wish your family a wonder-filled Walt Disney World Resort vacation together, Jamie. If you have any additional vacation planning questions ahead of your visit, you're always welcome to revisit us at planDisney! Alternatively, you can certainly reach out to me directly again if you'd prefer. I'm here to help your family have the most magical and memorable trip possible!

    Warm wishes,

    Lauren
