I have a niece who is 10 years old and has Down syndrome, is there any exceptions on the Keenz stroller wagon, coz my niece doesn’t fit in any stroller and she doesn’t last walking far.

Greetings, Christine, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m excited to help you plan your upcoming Disneyland Resort adventure! And, I appreciate you checking in on the updated Disneyland Resort Rules… it’s always better to know before you go!

Effective May 1, 2019, the Disneyland Resort clarified the Rules in regards to the use of stroller wagons, including Keenz. Though the policy has always stated that wagons are not permitted, the new rules clarify that stroller wagons are also prohibited. In addition, the maximum size of permitted strollers changed to no larger than 31” wide and 52” long. Though the Rules don’t mention any exceptions, I recommend sending an email or calling Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 for additional information.

The Disneyland Resort makes every effort to create a welcoming, inclusive environment for all Guests, including those with special needs. That’s why the Resort has created programs, such as Disability Access Service (DAS), to make a day at Disneyland possible for everyone. DAS was designed specifically for Guests who have trouble waiting in a standard queue due to a disability. I recommend stopping by Guest Relations in either park to see if this service could be helpful for your niece. Here are more tips for visiting the parks with a Guest with cognitive disabilities

In addition, since a stroller is too small for your niece, you could also look into the rental of a wheelchair or Electronic Conveyance Vehicle (ECV), which are both offered just outside of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance, near Stroller Rentals. These are both offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so you’ll want to arrive earlier in the day if you plan on renting one.

I hope this information helps your niece have a more comfortable experience at the Happiest Place on Earth!

Wishing you a pixie-dusted Disney day!
