My niece and sister are attending the Mickeys Not So Scary Party on 9/15, we recently received an invitation to help celebrate my niece’s birthday with her at WDW but tickets are all sold out? Any chance tix will open up for resale or cancellation?

    Welcome to planDisney, Alexis!

Spending time with your loved ones at Walt Disney World to celebrate your niece’s birthday sounds amazing! I’m sure your family will remember this trip for years to come.

Unfortunately, select dates of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party sold out soon after tickets were released. I was told by a Cast Member that once a date of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is sold out, tickets will no longer be sold online or over the phone for that date. You may be able to buy a ticket at the ticket window on the date of the party, however, that is not guaranteed. I think if you’re already at Walt Disney World Resort, it’s worth heading over to Magic Kingdom to try!

If you’re unable to secure a ticket to that Halloween party, there are still plenty of ways to celebrate your niece’s birthday together. Of course, you can spend the day enjoying her favorite attractions and shows together in the theme parks before the Halloween party. If you’re not visiting the theme parks, consider booking a meal together at one of the dining locations at a Disney Resort hotel or in Disney Springs. I’m not sure how old your niece will be, but you’re never too old to enjoy a character meal. At several dining locations, you will have the option to add a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake when you make your reservation, and the cake will be brought to your table during the meal.

You could also visit Disney Springs during the day and look for accessories to go with her Halloween party outfit, or a new pair of Mickey ears! Don’t forget that there is a Disney's PhotoPass Photo Studio in Disney Springs that offers photos with seasonal backdrops. You can take some Halloween-themed photos with your niece which you can later purchase and download through your My Disney Experience account. If you’re also visiting the theme parks, I recommend purchasing Memory Maker so you can also download your attraction photos and any photos taken by a Disney PhotoPass photographer.

There are so many things to do at Walt Disney World Resort that will make your niece’s birthday magical, Alexis. I hope you get the opportunity to enjoy Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party together, but if not, I hope I gave you some helpful ideas. If you have any future questions, please come see me again at planDisney.

    Happy haunting,
