Hi Kelly!
Welcome to planDisney. It's so sweet that you're planning to share the magic of
Walt Disney World Resort with your niece and nephew –– I'd say that definitely makes you the "Cool Aunt"! During your stay, I definitely recommend keeping an eye out for the
Fab 50 Character Collection golden sculptures in all four theme parks. During our most recent visit, my 11-year-old and 7-year-old loved being the first to spot new statues in each park –– it made the perfect
50th Anniversary scavenger hunt!
Great news, Kelly –– as a Florida Resident, you'll be able to purchase tickets for yourself, as well as minor children under the age of 18, at a specially discounted rate. These tickets can be purchased online or by using the
My Disney Experience mobile app, and you'll even be able to upload your Florida driver's license, state-issued ID, or Florida-based military ID at the time of purchase so you won't have to do it once you arrive at a Walt Disney World theme park. If you don't have one of these forms of ID, you'll need to present another
acceptable proof of Florida residency at a Walt Disney World ticket window to activate your tickets.
After you've purchased your tickets, be sure to head over to the
Disney Park Pass page to check theme park availability and make your Disney Park Pass reservations. If you'll be
Park Hopping during your visit, you'll only need to make reservations for the first park you plan to visit each day –– you'll be able to visit your next park starting at 2 PM without making an additional reservation.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question, Kelly! I'm wishing you and your family lots of pixie-dusted adventures during your upcoming visit!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
