Me, DH and niece (age 14 and her first trip) coming 2/13-2/19/13. Can't decide between Polynesian and Contemporary Resort. Definitely want a theme park view! What are the pros and cons of each, along with your recommendations? Need to book next week! Thks!

    Hello, Donna!

Bringing your husband and your niece for her first visit in February is a fantastic plan! You'll be able to enjoy the New Fantasyland expansion at Magic Kingdom! How exciting!

For your resort stay, you've picked two absolutely lovely Walt Disney World properties, so you can't go wrong either way!

Disney's Polynesian Resort is truly beautiful, with distinctive pacific island theming throughout. From the daily and nightly activities in the Great Ceremonial House to the Nanea Volcano Pool, you'll feel as though you've been transported to Hawaii at every turn. You can even join Lilo and Stitch at 'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast! Several other great dining options maintain that island feel as well. Yum! At night, Guests flock to the beach to view both the Electrical Water Pageant as well as the always stunning Wishes.

Disney's Contemporary Resort, on the other hand, is streamlined and elegant, having a clean, modern design maintained throughout. You'll have the convenience of having the ever-popular Chef Mickey's restaurant right at your own resort as well as several other options, such as The Wave and Contempo Cafe.  Magic Kingdom is only a 10-15 minute walk, should you wish to bypass the monorail, too. Ask for a Theme Park View and you'll be able to wake up every morning with Cinderella Castle just outside your window.

Bottom line? Are you looking for exotic or elegant, because the benefits of staying at either resort are remarkable; you can't go wrong here. :-)

Send more questions as you think of them; I'd love to help!
