Why hello there Sharlene and welcome to planDisney!
You're definitely coming at a time of the year
with a bit of extra "hustle and bustle", especially on the holidays so it's great that you've come here to planDisney in search of a good plan of action before you arrive. (In my personal experience, that week is so popular that you'll very much
need to secure your reservations as early as possible!)
At the current time, the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue does not have any showtimes occurring on Mondays nor Tuesdays and since Christmas falls on Monday, December 25 this year there is no show currently scheduled for that date. (I did confirm with a Cast Member that the
Christmas Eve performance tends to be exceptionally popular from years past, but it is subject to availability so your best bet is to keep an eye on the showtimes that may be made available during the week of your visit!)
That said, there are still
plenty of dining options that fellow holiday revelers may be clamoring for on Christmas Day and here are my top picks across the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and Disney Springs, depending on the vibe (and photo opportunities) that you're going for:
- For a complete change of scenery, there's just something really extra atmospheric about trekking over to Disney's Wilderness Lodge to dine on the holiday offerings at Whispering Canyon Cafe and gaze up at the towering tree from a warm chair by the crackling fire in the lobby. Similarly, there's just something fun about being able to share photos with friends and family back home from a place like Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge where you can say you've spotted safari animals during Christmas dinner!
- If the holidays have you missing home a bit, the special holiday Entertainment at Raglan Road during your meal might be boosted by a bit of authentic Irish company coming to celebrate if you choose to dine there over at Disney Springs!
I hope this helped Sharlene, don't hesitate to
come back for more tips & tricks before your trip!
Here's to a happy and hearty holiday dinner for you this Christmas!
