Next year plan on using timeshare points & exchange @ RCI for DVC villa next year. Suggestions between Boardwalk, Saratoga, Fort Wilderness or Key West? 2 adults taking 2 grandkids 4 & 6, priorities: close to parks, fun pool, walk to parks if po

    Hello, Vicki!

You are in for a treat at any one of these resorts!

    Considerations:

Disney's Boardwalk Villas: great location / walking distance to Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot (boat / bus); 200-foot-long slide at clown-themed pool (one drawback if anyone is afraid of clowns!)

Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa: great location for access to Downtown Disney (boat, bus, walk); beautiful pool with a waterslide that winds through rockwork and small waterplay area; Movies Under the Stars; second pool with slide, too. A little large to navigate with small children, but if you use the resort buses to travel from your villa, for example, to the main pool, it's just fine.

The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge: main pool with slide; Fire Rock Geyser; Movies Under the Stars; Chip'n Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long; unique additional activities; boat / bus to Magic Kingdom Park

Disney's Old Key West Resort:  very cozy pool area; great sand castle-themed pool slide; easy access to Downtown Disney (boat / bus); oldest of these resorts=rooms tend to be larger; foliage is more mature; Movies Under the Stars

All of these resorts have a Community Hall, with activities throughout the day (especially helpful if you need a break from the parks or if it's raining and you'd like to stay indoors for a bit.)

While I'm not familiar with RCI's point program, as Disney Vacation Club Members, we often base our resort choice on how many points we'd like to spend, too. (Resort points vary.)

Please send me more questions as you narrow your resort choice down! I'd love to help!
