    Next year I'm planning on running my first (eek!) 1/2 marathon- The Princess. I'd love to start planning the trip as soon as possible (mostly to keep me motivated). Do you know when I'll be able to start looking at prices/booking my Disney hotel? Thanks!

    Congratulations on planning for your first half marathon!  The Princess Half is a perfect choice! 

    I am sure you are very excited to start your plans.  The packages through runDisney should become available around the same time that registration for the race opens (June 11, 2013).  You can book your room and package anytime you want if you aren't planning to use the runDisney package offers.  There is a discount offered to runners, so you probably will want to wait.  And, I highly recommend booking your room at one of the host resorts for that race weekend.  These resorts will have buses for runners and spectators going to and from all of the race weekend events.  You can find a list of the host resorts on the Disney World Travel page of the runDisney website once the new travel details are posted.  And, your reservation can be made by calling 407-WDW-IRUN. 

    In the meantime, you can start planning by browsing the Disney World website and dreaming about your upcoming trip!
